Meet Our Team

jake and dara jakes kids

Jake, The Real Boss
Dara, Owner & Proud Adoptive Mom
Since 2016, this kid and I have been an inseparable team! Jake was my first and only foster child and he came into my life when he was 18 months old. In 2019, I legally adopted him and he is the pride and joy of my life. I began Jake's Kids to help spread awareness about fostering children and to raise funds to help the 424,000 children in foster care in the United States that have been affected by abuse, neglect and trauma. I have worked in the breastfeeding apparel industry for over a decade and in 2018 opened Lactation Cookie Express, a business that makes the most delicious lactation cookie mixes for nursing and pumping mothers with low milk supply. Fast forward a few years and it only seemed natural to complement the lactation cookie mixes with non-lactation cookie mixes that kids and adults of all ages can enjoy while supporting the cause of helping kids in need. It has been such a fun journey thus far and I am honored to give back to a cause that means so much to me. My hope is that Jake's Kids can help make thousands of children's dreams come true. Thank you for your support!

Angie St. John
Recipes Made with Love Blog Writer & Contributor

Hey there, I’m Angie! I wanted to share a little bit about myself. I grew up in a small town in Western Massachusetts, which has now turned into a thriving city, Easthampton. I still think of it as a small town and can drive with my family now and point out where so many of the best veggie and flower stands were. We recently purchased our forever home and quickly started digging, planting and of course baking. I’m excited to share all of this with you, as my family dips their toes into homesteading and so many new endeavors. We hope you follow along as we delve into these new adventures and recipes along the way. As always, the best is yet to come!
Enjoy - Angie, Tim, Finnegan and Achilles (our rescue dog) St. John
