Our morning routines start with coffee and smoothies. Our six year old son used to drink a bunch of smoothies and then of course stopped. This one however he can’t resist! As I was drinking mine morning, I thought “what a great recipe to share” so here it is. Can’t wait to start using fresh fruit from all the farmers markets and hopefully from our backyard soon too!
Yields 2 eight ounce smoothies
You will need:
1 1/2 cups of any milk type
3/4 cup frozen strawberries (or any berry)
1 banana
1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
*sometimes I use protein powder as well, or a scoop of açaí powderm baobab powder or a plant protein to keep me going!
Place all ingredients in a blender and enjoy! So easy and so delicious.
